About
About Carin

Carin is an archaeologist and living historian, specializing in the public history of the 18th century in America. She offers a number of impressions, dating from the French & Indian War through the American War for Independence; please see each category below for more information.

Holding an Honors BA, two MAs, and a PhD ABD in Anthropology, all with specializations in Historical Archaeology (specifically Fields of Conflict of the American Revolution), Carin is a diverse and engaging speaker. She can present an impression in either first- or third-person, but also offers lecture opportunities ranging from the material culture of Colonial America, to the archaeology of the Valley Forge encampment of 1777-1778, to stories from the former plantation where she currently works in public engagement, outreach, and stewardship of sites.

Her experiences both in school and in the professional museum field include presentations to public archaeology and history forums, as well as academic papers to professional audiences. Carin is also well-versed in presenting hands-on educational experiences for school students of all ages. Whether you are interested in a lecture, a forum discussion, or a fundraiser appearance or a gathering with an historical figure, Carin is happy to work with you to craft an unforgettable experience for your audience!
